More About Nada
Nada Alnajafi has over 15 years of experience working with companies and contracts. Nada currently serves as in-house counsel for Franklin Templeton. Before that, she worked in-house for large OEMs and booming startups in the automotive and technology sector. She also has a background in project management and a degree in psychology.
While she is a generalist, she is most passionate about working with contracts. Nada has drafted, reviewed, and negotiated thousands of contracts. In addition, she has implemented several contract management systems, built contracting processes from scratch, and trained sales, procurement, and legal teams on how to negotiate contracts.
In addition to her day job, Nada devotes her spare time to helping lawyers and contracts professionals improve their contracting skills. Nada is a popular contracts expert who shares important tips about contract drafting, negotiation, and management through LinkedIn, her blog, and various legal and contracts events.
In August 2020, she began posting contract negotiation tips on LinkedIn and launched the Contract Nerds blog.
In February 2022, she published Contract Redlining Etiquette, the first and only book about contract redlining best practices.
In July 2022, she launched her second newsletter Read Between the Redlines where she provides tips, tricks, and workarounds for redlining contracts using MS Word Track Changes.
She speaks at law schools, professional organizations, CLEs, community events, and currently offers team training sessions and speaking engagements.
In-house counsel should be deal closers, not deal breakers.
